The Beatles "Fab Four"
Do I need to explan?!! Probably not!
If you didn’t grow up with the Beatles, you certainly realized as your musical tastes evolved, how much the music culture was influenced by these guys... John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
I felt this early sixties grouping of the four showed a great begining stage of their career as a foursome. The paintings of each Beatle that I also offer seperately, then shows where they evolved to in the later sixties.
The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. They became the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed act in the rock music era.
Rooted in skiffle and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later utilized several genres, ranging from pop ballads to psychedelic rock, often incorporating classical and other elements in innovative ways. In the early 1960s, their enormous popularity first emerged as "Beatlemania", but as their songwriting grew in sophistication, they came to be perceived by many fans and cultural observers as an embodiment of the ideals shared by the era's sociocultural revolutions.

Needing no introduction, Ringo has always been an unforgetable Beatle. Ringo was the fourth of the Beatles that I put down on canvas.
Richard Starkey, (born 7 July 1940) commonly known by his stage name Ringo Starr, is an English musician and actor who gained worldwide fame as the drummer for the Beatles. When the band formed in 1960, Starr was a member of another Liverpool band, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. He joined the Beatles in August 1962, taking the place of Pete Best. In addition to his drumming, Starr is featured on lead vocals on a number of successful Beatles songs (in particular, "With a Little Help from My Friends", "Yellow Submarine", and the Beatles' version of "Act Naturally"). He is credited as a co-writer of the songs "What Goes On", "Flying", and "Dig It" and as the sole writer of "Don't Pass Me By" and "Octopus's Garden".
After their break-up in 1970, Starr achieved solo musical success with several singles and albums, and recorded with each of his fellow ex-Beatles as they too developed their post-Beatle musical careers. Since 1989, Starr has toured with twelve variations of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band.

I've been asked often about painting another female, well this one had to be done!! Portrayed by Diana Ross in the movie "Lady Sings the Blues", I was influenced by Billie years ago.
Billie Holiday, born Eleanora Harris (April 7, 1915 – July 17, 1959) was an American jazz singer and songwriter. Nicknamed "Lady Day" by her friend and musical partner Lester Young, Holiday had a seminal influence on jazz and pop singing. Her vocal style, strongly inspired by jazz instrumentalists, pioneered a new way of manipulating phrasing and tempo. Holiday "changed the art of American pop vocals forever."

Philomena ... Phil Lynott's mum with her own print!
Phil Lynott "King of Dublin"
A highly requested painting from my Irish following, I am proud to have painted this lively and moving portrait of Phil.
Phil Lynott (20 August 1949 – 4 January 1986) was an Irish singer and musician, best known for being the founding member, songwriter, lead vocalist and bassist of the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy.
Growing up in Dublin, Lynott fronted several bands as a lead vocalist, most notably Skid Row alongside Gary Moore, before learning the bass guitar and forming Thin Lizzy in 1969. After initial success with Whiskey in the Jar, the band found strong commercial success in the mid-1970s with hits such as "The Boys are Back in Town", "Jailbreak" and "Waiting for an Alibi", and became a popular live attraction due to the combination of Lynott's vocal and songwriting skills and the use of dual lead guitars. He also had major UK success with Moore with the song "Out in the Fields", followed by a minor hit "Nineteen", before his death on 4 January 1986. He remains a popular figure in the rock world.

Needing no introduction, Paul has always been many people's favorite Beatle. It was just a matter of time before I put Paul down on canvas.
Sir James Paul McCartney MBE (born 18 June 1942) is an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. With John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, he gained worldwide fame as a member of the Beatles, and his collaboration with Lennon is one of the most celebrated songwriting partnerships of the 20th century. After the group's break-up, he pursued a solo career, later forming the band Wings with his first wife, Linda, and singer-songwriter Denny Laine.

"Rockn' NYC" A Tribute to New York City's Rockn’ Attitude!!
Art Print of “Rockn’ NYC”, a 10.375" x 17" limited edition print of 250. This art print is reproduced from the original oil painting which I created. Standing tall is Lady Liberty, wailing on a Gibson Flying V guitar, and gesturing with the ever popular heavy metal Sign of the Horns, a hand gesture to ward off bad luck and the evil eye.
The real Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World, located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy.
This is my tribute to New York City and its rockn’ attitude to bounce back from adversity. I’d had the idea in my head for a while, and after hurricane Sandy raged throught the area, I was impressed with New York’s commitment to pull together, help each other out, and vow to come back stronger than ever.
While watching the 12-12-12 NY Music concert for hurricane releif, I realized that this image needed to be created.

George Harrison "Within you" (February 25, 1943 – November 29, 2001)
George's music always takes me to that mellow place. I thought about this piece for a while, and knew that he needed to be portrayed in this quiet, tranquil setting. Welcome home George!
George was an English musician, singer, and songwriter who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. During the mid-1960s, Harrison became interested in the Hare Krishna movement, and over time became an admirer of Indian culture and mysticism, introducing it to the other Beatles and to their Western audience. Following the band's break-up in 1970, he enjoyed a successful solo career, and in 1988 co-founded the supergroup the Traveling Wilburys, with Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison. Rolling Stone magazine ranked Harrison number 11 in their list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".

Jimi Hendri was once asked: “So…what's it like being the best guitarist in the world?”
…to which he replied: “I don't know, you’d have to ask Rory Gallagher”.
In April of 1973, I took my then-wife-to-be to her first live concert at a little basement club in Milwaukee, WI, USA. Rory tore the roof off the place, and I was hooked. This painting has been a long time coming!!
Rory Gallagher was an Irish blues-rock multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and bandleader. Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, and raised in Cork, Gallagher recorded solo albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, after forming the band Taste during the late 1960s. A talented guitarist known for his charismatic performances and dedication to his craft, Gallagher's albums have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide. Rory’s influence spread through the generations – from Slash to Johnny Marr, from U2’s The Edge to Queen’s Brian May, and onto The Manics’ James Dean Bradfield – any aspiring player who encountered him was bound to be energized or transformed. In 2010, Gallagher was ranked #42 on Gibson.com’s List of their Top 50 Guitarists of All Time.
Rory received a liver transplant in 1995, but died of complications later that year in London, England at the age of 47.

Frank Zappa (December 21, 1940 – December 4, 1993)
Finally after the many varied musicians that I've added to my print collection in recent years, it was time for one of the more highly requested paintings...the one and only...Frank Zappa!!!!
This painting started with a reference photo, compliments of Ueli Frey in Switzerland, and I created this expressive portrayal of Frank, playing his prized Gibson SG. Zappa was a self-taught composer and performer, and his diverse musical influences led him to create music that was often difficult to categorize. I'm really happy with the end result!
Frank Vincent Zappa was an American composer, singer-songwriter, guitarist, recording engineer, record producer and film director.
In a career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa wrote rock, jazz, orchestral works. He also directed feature-length films and music videos, and designed album covers. Zappa produced almost all of the more than 60 albums he released with the band The Mothers of Invention and as a solo artist.

Keith Moon "Moon the Loon" (23 August 1946[1] – 7 September 1978)
...Prints are NOW available! Order now for your low number collectable print.
I always wanted to paint Keith with his headphones duct tapped to his head!!!.
Keith Moon was an English musician, best known for being the drummer of the English rock group The Who. He gained acclaim for his exuberant and innovative drumming style, and notoriety for his eccentric and often self-destructive behaviour, earning him the nickname "Moon the Loon". Keith was known for dramatic, suspenseful drumming—often eschewing basic back beats for a fluid, busy technique focused on fast, cascading rolls across the toms, ambidextrous double bass drum work and wild cymbal crashes and washes.
Moon joined The Who in 1964. He played on all albums and singles from their debut, 1964's "Zoot Suit", to 1978's Who Are You, which was released three weeks before his death.
He is mentioned in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the greatest of all rock and roll drummers of all time, and was posthumously inducted into the Rock Hall as a member of The Who in 1990.

Tom Waits "Sweet Syncopation"...Prints are NOW available! Order now for your low number collectable print.
This fun painting is one I'd been thinking about for a while!
Tom Waits is a singer-songwriter and composer with that very distinctive trademark growl. His incorporation of pre-rock music styles such as blues and jazz, and experimental tendencies verging on industrial music has built up a distinctive musical persona, and he's attracted a strong cult following.
He has worked as a composer for movies and musical plays and has acted in supporting roles in films including Paradise Alley and Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
His recent albums such as Bad as Me, Real Gone, & Rain Dogs were played quite a bit during this painting, as well as his live recording Nighthawks at the Diner from 1975.
Gotta love Tom Waits!!

Ronnie Earl "Transcendence"
My favorite painting to date!!! I connected with Ronnie Earl's road manager and photographer Tom Hazeltine for the photo reference. Thanks Tom...this has been an amazing journey!!
Ronnie Earl was born Ronald Horvath in Queens, New York, on March 10, 1953. After picking up his first guitar twenty years later, he went on to stretch the boundaries of electric blues guitar playing higher, lifting hearts and souls a little higher as he did.
Ronnie Earl is a two-time (1997, 1999) W.C. Handy Blues Award winner as Guitar Player of the Year. He has served as an Associate Professor of Guitar at Berklee College of Music, taught for five years at the National Guitar summer workshop in Connecticut. He has played alongside such greats as B. B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, the Allman Brothers Band, Muddy Waters, Big Joe Turner, Otis Rush, Earl King, Junior Wells, and Buddy Guy.

Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA, my hometown, and also Les Paul's hometown, was designated in the spring of 2012 as the newest "Guitartown" by the Gibson corporation. Waukesha took delivery of ten, 10 ft. Les Paul guitars of which I had the honor of being able to paint one. The guitar is now on display as public art in downtown Waukesha in front of the Freeman Newspaper building. After many requests for images of my project, I decided to create this print to offer to my collectors.
Pictured on the front are Les Paul, Jeff Beck, Randy Rhodes, Zack Wylde, Slash and Hubert Sumlin. On the back are Bob Marley, Joe Bonamassa, Billy Gibbons, Jimmy Page, Ace Frehley, and Gary Moore.
Only 75 were produced as limited edition giclee prints. There will only be this once in a lifetimeWaukesha GuitarTown, so get this memorable print, which will be prized for many years to come.
This reproduction has an image area of 12” x 18” (30.5 cm x 45.7 cm). and is on the good quality paper that all my other prints are on.

Billy Gibbons "Rev Billy G...Lowdown"
One of my most fun paintings!!! I connected with photgrapher Rick Kern from Austin, TX for the photo reference. Thanks Rick...I had a smile on my face the whole time!!
William Frederick "Billy" Gibbons (born December 16, 1949) is an American musician, actor and car customizer, best known as the guitarist of the Texas blues-rock band ZZ Top. Gibbons is known for playing his Gretsch Billy Bo guitar and his famous 1959 Gibson Les Paul guitar known as Pearly Gates, although I've pictured him here with his Telecaster. Gibbons has a bass vocal range, one of the widest ranges in rock. He is noted for his use of pinch harmonics in his solos. This one of my most highly requested rockers over the years.
The on-line contest (hosted by theGuitarBuzz.com) to name this painting came up with "Rev Billy G...Lowdown" by Jeff Aden of Rockford, IL, Thanks Jeff!!

Roy Buchanan "Nephesh"
Until late 2011, Roy Buchanan was just a name which I associated with a man who was often referenced as a giant influence to many other guitar slingers that I loved, but I'd never explored to find out about him as to why he was so revered. Now, after this brief time, I hear why, and I have deep respect for who he was, what he stood for, and what he’s meant to music and to those who have followed.
Roy was a pioneer of the Telecaster sound. He was a brilliant sideman and solo artist, with two gold albums early in his career and two later solo albums that made it on to the Billboard chart. Despite never having achieved stardom, he is still considered a highly influential guitar player.
He is credited for influencing many guitarists, including Gary Moore, Danny Gatton and Jeff Beck. Beck even dedicated his version of “Cause We’ve Ended as Lovers” from Blow by Blow to Roy. His work is said to “stretch the limits of the electric guitar” and he is praised for “his subtlety of tone and the breadth of his knowledge, from the blackest of blues to moaning R&B and clean, concise, bone-deep rock ‘n’ roll.” Roy was ranked #57 on the Rolling Stone list “100 Greatest Guitarists of all Time,” Guitar Player praised him as having one of the “50 Greatest Tones of all Time.”
This reproduction has an image area of 27” x 19” (68.6 cm x 48.3 cm). and is from the limited edition of 500.
I held an on-line contest to name this painting, and it was named "Nephesh" which means Soul, or Life...by David J. Buchanan, Roy's son in West Springfield,Virginia. I humbled and deeply honored!!

Buddy Guy “Delta Inspiration”
A highly requested musician, I'm proud to have put this piece together as another collaboration with photographer Ueli Frey of Switzerland, who graciously allowed me to paint from his photo of Buddy in concert in 2008 at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
After decades of paying his dues, Buddy Guy has emerged as the most heralded bluesman of his generation, a hugely influential guitarist and passionate, dynamic live performer.
Buddy, born July 30th, 1936 began as a sideman in Baton Rouge, and came to Chicago in 1957 at the age of 21. He was “adopted” by Muddy Waters, who encouraged the young bluesman.
He quickly won a local reputation for his wild live shows, in the style of his first big influence, Guitar Slim. Later Buddy absorbed the smoother sounds of B.B. King, but he simply couldn’t (and wouldn’t) control the frenzy of his music.
In the 1990s, he was signed to the Silvertone label and his fans Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck joined him for his DAMN RIGHT I’VE GOT THE BLUES CD. The album along with the accompanying video launched Buddy as a headliner, playing not only blues festivals but also major rock venues. He hasn’t looked back since.
When not on the road, Buddy spends most of his time at his famous Buddy Guy’s Legends club, easily the top blues spot in Chicago, if not the world.
I held a contest to name the painting on-line, and it was appropriately named "Delta Inspiration" by Bryan Schwab, a 13 yr. old guitar slinger from Oil City, PA who has played on stage with Buddy. Thanks Bryan!

Gary Moore “Belfast Blues”
Robert William Gary Moore (4 April 1952 – 6 February 2011), better known simply as Gary Moore, was a Northern Irish musician from Belfast, best recognized as a blues rock guitarist and singer. Gary was known in the US mostly as the guitarist with the Irish bands Skid Row and Thin Lizzy. While less popular in the US, Moore's work "brought substantial acclaim and commercial success in most other parts of the world – especially in Europe" Gary died of a heart attack in Feb of 2011 while on holiday in Spain
I am honored to present this giclee print of this new painting. This is an art print from my NEWEST oil painting.
The painting was created based on a photo of Gary in concert in Austria, taken by Rene Huemer. I enjoyed painting Gary playing his Gibson signature 2000.
After we conducted a friendly competition on-line, the painting was appropriately named "Belfast Blues" by John O'Grady of Wrexham, UK. Thanks John!

Joe Bonamassa "GOLDFINGERz"
Joe Bonamassa (born May 8, 1977) is the phenominal American blues rock guitarist and singer with that distinct sound influenced by the British and Irish blues. With a succesful solo carreer and the recent supergroup Black Country Communion, Joe's sound stops you in your tracks.
I was lucky to catch a glimpse of this pose from the 2010 Montruex Jazz Fest (Photo reference courtesy of Dr. Jazz... Ueli Frey of Switzerland), and immediatly envisioned this killer painting. I'm proud to be able to spread the word of Joe, and offer to the fans around the world, a visual to go with their prized music collections. Joe has seen this and likes!

Stevie Nicks "Gypsy Flight"
Every time I questioned my collectors as to what female I should paint next, Stevie's name always came up. I've portrayed Stevie here in her free-spirited late 70's Fleetwood Mac days, and titled it "Gypsy Flight".

Howlin' Wolf "Howlin' Time"
Chester Arthur Burnett (June 10, 1910 – January 10, 1976), better know as Howlin’ Wolf was an influential American blues singer, guitarist and harmonica player.
Howlin’ Wolf was one of those guys who shared the turntable with Muddy Waters & John Lee Hooker as I was growing up. Adding him to my blues set was a given.
With a booming voice and looming physical presence, Burnett is commonly ranked among the leading performers in electric blues. Musician and critic Cub Koda declared, "no one could match Howlin' Wolf for the singular ability to rock the house down to the foundation while simultaneously scaring its patrons out of its wits." A number of songs written or popularized by Burnett—such as "Smokestack Lightnin'", "Back Door Man", "Killing Floor" and "Spoonful"—have become blues and blues rock standards.

John Lee Hooker(1917 - 2001) "The Real Blues - the Bone in the Soup"
Probably the first bluesman that I listened to back in my teens with the "Hooker n' Heat" album. I've always loved his music and fell into this painting head first.
Born near Clarksdale, Mississippi in 1917 to a sharecropper family, John Lee Hooker was one of the last links to the blues of the deep South. He moved to Detroit in the early 1940's and by 1948 had his first number-one jukebox hit and million-seller, "Boogie Chillun." Other hits soon followed, "I'm In The Mood," "Crawling Kingsnake," and "Boom Boom" among the biggest. During the 1950s and '60s, Vee Jay Records released a remarkable string of more than 100 of John Lee's songs.
The reproduction offered here has an image area of 26” x 19” (66 cm x 48.3 cm). This print is created from my original oil painting and produced as a limited edition of 500. The reproduction is printed on a heavy 100lb. dull cover stock.
This is my commentary on rock's energy, and its power to elevate. If you've been to a live concert, you know the feeling when everything just clicks and the tempo and energy build, and all involved reach a new level. With the energy portrayed here, I think I've captured that moment. Its the wonderful feeling of a live concert...the Musical High!!
This is another collaboration with the talented Austrian photographer Rene Huemer who graciously allowed me to paint from his great photo reference of the live performance.
The reproduction offered here has an image area of 16” x 27” (40.6 cm x 68.6 cm). This print is created from my original oil painting and produced as a limited edition of 500. The reproduction is printed on a heavy 100lb. dull cover stock.

Jeff Beck, rock guitarist extraordinaire, (born 24 June 1944) is an English rock guitarist. One of three noted guitarists, with Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page, to have played with The Yardbirds, Beck also formed The Jeff Beck Group and Beck, Bogert & Appice. He was ranked 14th in Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and the magazine has described him as "one of the most influential lead guitarists in rock". MSNBC has called him a "guitarist's guitarist".
Much of Beck's recorded output is focused on innovative sound and his releases have spanned genres ranging from blues-rock, heavy metal, jazz fusion and most recently, an additional blend of guitar-rock and electronica. Beck has earned wide critical praise; furthermore, he has received the Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance six times.
Beck appears on albums by Ronnie Wood, Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger , Kate Bush , Roger Waters, Stevie Wonder, Les Paul, Zucchero, Cyndi Lauper, Brian May, ZZ Top and countless others.
He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice: as a member of The Yardbirds (1992) and as a solo artist (2009).

John Winston Ono Lennon, (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English musician and singer-songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as one of the founding members of The Beatles, one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts in the history of popular music. Along with fellow Beatle Paul McCartney, he formed one of the most successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century. The Lennon/McCartney songwriting partnership is regarded as one of the most influential and successful of the 20th century.
On 8 December 1980, John was shot at the entrance to his home. He was taken to the emergency room of nearby Roosevelt Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.
Ono issued a statement the next day, saying "There is no funeral for John," ending it with the words, "John loved and prayed for the human race. Please pray the same for him."
My recently produced Art Print... I envisioned this image of Carlos for many months before the paint hit the canvas. During all of my years growing up with the music of the 70's and beyond, Santana always was at the core of my favorites.
Carlos Augusto Alves Santana (born July 20, 1947) is a Mexican American rock guitarist. Carlos became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band, Santana, which pioneered rock, salsa and jazz fusion. One of the great early bands in San Francisco, Santana appeared at Woodstock before their first album was even released, becoming one of the surprises of the festival.
I've always been a fan, and was thrilled to put this together.

Mud Morganfield with a print of his dad in Argentina
Muddy Waters “Muddy” This newly released print is 26” x 19” (66 cm x 48.3 cm) produced from my original oil painting. Muddy Waters has always been tops in my book of bluesmen. But forget about my opinion...He was the King of the Chicago Blues, heavily influencing blues legends that have followed. The Rolling Stones named themselves after his 1950 song "Rollin' Stone", Hendrix covered his songs, Clapton grew up a big fan of his, Dylan, Zeppelin, and the list goes on and on. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him at #17 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. I saw Muddy play in a small club in Milwaukee in the 70's, front and center with my feet propped up on the stage. It remains one of my cherished live shows. And now, following in his footsteps... Mud Morganfield, his son...oh my!!! Check him out sometime soon!!

The Gilmour image was shot on the July 27, 2006. He was playing at a venue in upper Austria called "Burg Klam". Gilmour is best known as guitarist, vocalist and writer with Pink Floyd, he is also renowned for his solo work. One of my favorite cds is ”On An Island”.

B.B. King "Lucille” ... the King of the Blues
From my original oil painting. This classic print is 26” x 19” (66 cm x 48.3 cm) Limited edition of 700
B.B. King is one of my favorite bluesmen, and I knew I’d be painting him the minute I saw Rene Huemer’s photo of him from a recent concert. Critical acclaim and widespread popularity have cemented B.B.’s reputation as possibly the most respected, successful, and most recognized bluesman, not just in the United States, but in the world. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him at #3 on its list of the "100 greatest guitarists of all time. Over a period of 52 years, B.B. King has played in excess of 15,000 performances.
This print is from a limited edition of 700 being offered. Produced from my large original oil painting The reproduction offered here has a large image area of 19” x 26”, on a heavy 100lb. dull cover stock (image area of 66 cm x 48.3 cm). There is no middleman involved. I painted the original, and with a little investment, am now honored to be able to offer this print to you to share the good vibes that B.B. brings our way.
I had a lot of fun painting B.B., and I hope you have a spot on your wall to honor this legend.

"Amazing detail amazing colour great print,if you don't own one, your MISSING out" Robert from North Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Dave Matthews "So Much” - One of my latest paintings.
This print is 26” x 19”(66 cm x 48.3 cm) Limited edition of 500
Dave Matthews of the DMB, is an awesome singer-songwriter and guitarist. Dave provides a lot of energy with his music and comes highly requested. I really had a lot of fun bringing that energy forth in this piece. Limited edition of 500
Here’s a quick history of Dave and the Dave Matthews Band (DMB)
Dave formed DMB in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1991. Founding members were Dave Matthews, bassist Stefan Lessard, violinist Boyd Tinsley, drummer Carter Beauford, and saxophonist LeRoi Moore. In August of 2008, LeRoi Moore died due to complications from an ATV accident. Jeff Coffin of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, has since filled Moore's spot as the band's saxophonist. Dave with his band members cover differing genres, including jazz, classical music, soul music, and Afrobeat, the combination of each member has created an eclectic sound which has earned them a variety of fans.
The band is known for their annual summer-long tours of the US and Europe, featuring lengthy improvisational renditions of their songs, accompanied by elaborate video and lighting.
The DMB is a multi-Grammy Award winner, and was awarded the NAACP Chairman's Award. According to Julian Bond, "they sell out the largest arenas on Earth, but frequently give their music away.
Special thanks to René Huemer, a very talented photographer in Vienna, Austria who allowed me to paint from his image.
Bruce Springsteen "The Boss” - - Another of my favorite energetic paintings.
The print is 19” x 26” (48.3 cm x 66 cm) Limited edition of 500
I first thought about painting Bruce when he was coming to the Harley 105th reunion in Milwaukee in 2005. Now, a few years later, its one of my favorite, more energetic peices. I kept it loose to portray the raw feel you get, listening to his music. A lot of people requested a “Boss” painting and I’m glad I did it.
Bruce Springsteen, nicknamed "The Boss", is the American singer-songwriter recording and touring with the E Street Band. He’s widely known for his brand of heartland rock infused with pop hooks, poetic lyrics, and Americana sentiments centered on his native New Jersey. Bruce is America’s Blue collar rocker.
Here's a few testimonials from other recent purchasers of my prints...

Neil Peart “Soulscape” - a print from my original energetic oil painting. 27” x 18” (68.6 cm x45.7 cm) paper giclee print. Limited edition of 500
Neil Peart, a musician and author, is best-known as the drummer and lyricist for the rock band Rush. He’s the “drummer's drummer”. I just had to add him to my collection for you drummers. If you’ve seen Neil play, you know what we’re talking about here.
Photo reference and technical consulting for the painting was provided by Michael DF Lowe of “Neil Peart Drumsticks” to whom I owe a big thanks.
Neil Peart provides unending energy that sparked this colorful and moving painting of him playing. I've pictured him here with his "Neil's Personal Model" sticks and the Drum Workshop set of red-painted DW maple shells with black hardware and gold "Snakes & Arrows" logos as featured on the Snakes & Arrows Tour.
During the painting process, I stopped working on it when I heard about his book “Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road”. I knew I couldn’t go any further without the emotion of getting in his head. I highly recommend the book!
This painting is also available output onto canvas at approx. 5' x 3.5' for $2,300 plus shipping. Shipped rolled in a tube, ready for stretching on your end.
Bob Dylan art portrait - An American icon, one I’ve been wanting to paint for quite a while. 19” x 25.5” Limited edition of 500
Bob Dylan (born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter, author, poet and painter who has been a major figure in popular music for five decades. In the 1960s Dylan became an informal chronicler and a reluctant figurehead of American unrest. A number of his songs, such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'", became anthems of both the civil rights movements and of the opposition to the Vietnam War.
After a lifetime of writing, recording, and performing, Dylan's latest record—his 33rd studio album—Together Through Life was released on April 28, 2009. The album reached the number one spot on both the Billboard 200 chart of top selling albums, and the UK album charts in its first week of release.
Dylan's early lyrics incorporated political, social, philosophical, and literary influences, defying existing pop music conventions and appealing widely to the counterculture. While expanding and personalizing musical styles, he has explored many traditions of American song, from folk, blues and country to gospel, rock and roll and rockabilly to English, Scottish and Irish folk music, and even jazz and swing. Dylan performs with the guitar, piano and harmonica. Backed by a changing line-up of musicians, he has toured steadily since the late 1980s on what has been dubbed the "Never Ending Tour".
Throughout his career, Dylan has won many awards for his songwriting, performing, and recording. His records have earned Grammy, Golden Globe, and Academy Awards, and he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2008, a "Cultural Pathway" was named in Dylan's honor in his birthplace, Duluth. In 2008, he was awarded a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation for his "profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power."
The reproduction offered here has a large image area of 19” x 25.5 ” (48.3 cm x 64.8 cm).
This painting is also available output onto canvas at approx. 4' x 5' for $2,300 plus shipping. Shipped rolled in a tube, ready for stretching on your end.
Elvis Presley “The King” from my original oil painting.
The print is 19.5” x 27” (49.5 cm x 68.6 cm) Limited edition of 500
A rock series just wouldn't be complete without Elvis? This print is from an original painting I composed, choosing to sketch him out, and paint him in a look from his 1968 comeback. I just had to do Elvis in black leather! I remember the first record I ever heard played in my life, was Elvis, coming from my older sister's bedroom
Elvis Presley - (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) a was an American singer, actor, and musician. A cultural icon, he is commonly known simply as "Elvis," and is also sometimes referred to as "The King of Rock 'n' Roll" or "The King".In 1954, Presley began his career as one of the first performers of rockabilly, an uptempo fusion of country and rhythm and blues with a strong back beat. His novel versions of existing songs, mixing "black" and "white" sounds, made him popular—and controversial—as did his uninhibited stage and television performances. He recorded songs in the rock and roll genre, with tracks like "Hound Dog" and "Jailhouse Rock" later embodying the style. Presley had a versatile voice and had unusually wide success encompassing other genres, including gospel, blues, ballads and pop. To date, he has been inducted into four music halls of fame.
In the 1960s, Presley made the majority of his 31 movies. In 1968, he returned to live music in a television special the '68 Comeback Special. The show featured some lavishly staged studio productions. Other songs however, were performed live with a band in front of a small audience—Presley's first live appearance as a performer since 1961. The live segments saw Presley clad in black leather, singing and playing guitar in an uninhibited style—reminiscent of his rock and roll days. Rolling Stone called it "a performance of emotional grandeur and historical resonance." Throughout his career, he set records for concert attendance, television ratings and recordings sales. He is one of the best-selling and most influential artists in the history of music. Health problems, drug addiction and other factors led to his death aged 42.
The reproduction offered here has a large image area of 19.5” x 27” (49.5 cm x 68.6 cm).
Johnny Cash - "Cash Connection" An Art print of the original oil painting, a great music art piece, a classic print of Johnny Cash for your home, bar or club.
I’ve been encouraged by more than a few fans to create a Johnny Cash painting, so it’s done!! The original oil painting was done at a great size, measuring 30” x 48”. (the print image is 16.25” x 26”) I considered a lot of different looks for Johnny, and decided this dark image felt right, with Johnny, having a knowing connection with the viewer.
I’ve listened to a lot of music in my day, and Cash is one of those highly respected artists that influenced many others. I had a lot of tunes playing while working on this painting this that spanned many years and many genres.
Johnny Cash (born J. R. Cash; February 26, 1932 - September 12, 2003) was a Grammy Award-winning American singer-songwriter and one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Primarily a country music artist, his songs and sound spanned many other genres including rockabilly and rock and roll (especially early in his career), as well as blues, folk and gospel. Much of Cash's music, especially that of his later career, echoed themes of sorrow, moral tribulation, and redemption. His signature songs include "I Walk the Line", "Folsom Prison Blues", "Ring of Fire", "Get Rhythm", "Hurt" and "Man in Black".
The reproduction offered here has a large image area of 16.25 ” x 26 ”, on 17.375” x 28 ” stock (image area of 41.3 cm x 66 cm, on 44.1 cm x 71.1 cm stock). Limited edition of 500
Here's a few testimonials from recent art buyers...
"I have bought prints from Tom before, they are truely fantastic!!" Rich from Isle of Wight, United Kingdom
"Amazing detail, amazing colour, great print, if you don't own one, you're MISSING out" Robert from North Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Jimmy Page & Robert Plant - "High Octane Zep"art print of oil painting, rock artwork. A classic print of Page & Plant for your home, bar or rock club.
I’ve been asked by many Led Zeppelin fans to create a Page/Plant painting, so here it is. It’s one of the larger original oil paintings that I’ve done, measuring 40” x 48”. (the print is 21.5” x 26”) I chose some energetic poses from their early days in Led Zeppelin together that capture their spirit well. You can almost hear the tunes coming off the image.
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant recorded and toured in the mid-1990s under the title Page and Plant. They were both formerly of the English rock band Led Zeppelin.
Led Zeppelin was formed in 1968 by Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals), John Paul Jones (bass guitar, keyboards) and John Bonham (drums). With their heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin are regarded as one of the first heavy metal bands. However, the band's individualistic style draws from many sources and transcends any one genre. Their rock-infused interpretation of the blues and folk genres also incorporated rockabilly, reggae, soul, funk, classical, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, pop, Latin and country. The band did not release the popular songs from their albums as singles in the UK, as they preferred to develop the concept of album-oriented rock.
The reproduction offered here has a large image area of 21.5 ” x 26 ”, on 22.625” x 28” stock (image area of 54.6 cm x 66 cm, on 57.5 cm x 71.1 cm stock).
Paul Desmond - "Reflection" print of oil painting, Jazz artwork
Classic print of Paul for your home, bar or jazz club. Limited edition of 500
One of my more fluid, moving pieces, this portrait of Jazz great Paul Desmond was a very passionate piece to paint. Most people have heard his work with Dave Brubeck, but may not be familiar with the man himself.
Paul Desmond (November 25, 1924 - May 30, 1977), was a jazz alto saxophonist and composer born in San Francisco, best known for the work he did in the Dave Brubeck Quartet and for penning that group's greatest hit, "Take Five". Known to have possessed an idiosyncratic wit, he was one of the most popular musicians to come out of the West Coast's "cool jazz" scene. He played a Selmer Super Balanced Action alto saxophone with an M. C. Gregory model 4A-18M mouthpiece — both circa 1951 — with Rico 3 ½ reeds.
In addition to his work with Brubeck, he led several of his own groups and did significant collaborations with artists such as Gerry Mulligan, Jim Hall and Chet Baker. After years of chain smoking and general poor health, Desmond succumbed to lung cancer in 1977 following one last tour with Brubeck.
This print is from a NEW limited edition of 500 being offered. Produced from a large original oil painting, each print is numbered and artist signed. The reproduction offered here has a large image area of 17.5 ” x 26”, on 20” x 28 ” stock (image area of 44.5 cm x 66 cm, on 50.8 cm x 71.1 cm stock). There is no middleman involved. I painted the original for my good friend Keith Sarnow, http://keithsarnow.com/ an awesome saxophonist and passionate Desmond fan, and now this print can be yours.

Janis Joplin - An American legend, one of the greatest. My rock series would not have been complete with out her. Janis was a jangling, pulsating pastiche of color, texture, and sound, and it's all reflected here. I'm now, with this first time ever limited edition printing, able to pass the queen of the blues along to you. Each print is numbered and artist signed. This rock print is from a NEW limited edition of 35 being offered. Produced from a large original oil painting by international artist, me, T Noll. The reproduction offered here has a large image area of 18.5” x 22”. There is no middleman involved. I painted the original, and can now offer this print to you to share her memory. We personally know a lot of lady bikers that are crazy about this painting. It tells the story!
This painting is also available output onto canvas at approx. 4' x 5' for $2,300 plus shipping. Shipped rolled in a tube, ready for stretching on your end.
Janis...featured on the cover of the March 2008, Midwest Issue "Quick Throttle Magazine" with a nice article on Creative Bone Artworks LLC.
"Beach Pub" - Limited Edition, Artist Signed Reproduction - Wait...this is not a rock print, but believe me....This joint rocks in Fort Myers Beach, FL. My favorite gulf coast vacation spot to relax with a cold beer, and listen to some sweet tunes...and it's all good! This place is for real...and we've done some buzz walking back down the beach from there. (also check out Casey's Alley when you're on Estero Blvd.) I came, I saw, I drank, I painted. This place has a lasting effect on people. I know a bunch of people who think they talked me into making this piece available to fans of the Beach Pub. Grab this up for a lasting memory of the good times on the beach. This is from a new limited edition printing of 250, produced from a one of a kind original oil painting by Tom Noll. The original stretched canvas is 24” x 20”. The reproduction offered here has an image area of 21.75” x 18", on 23.75” x 20” stock. Each print is numbered and hand signed.
